Merry Christmas - let's be Christ-Like

Hello!
Well, I suck at posting to my blog on time, but my heart is in the right place. Anyway, I'll get to it. I have had a wild and emotional year. Most of 2013 sucked hard, but it's looking up! I am truly blessed. My children are blessed. So blessed I can't help but think of all those who aren't.

I am giving away $5000 to charity this season. Broken up as follows:

$3000 - School programs in my community
$500 - Wellspring - We are going there tonight to spend time with the kids and hand out goodies. If you're in the area. Come down! We will be there from 4-6pm.
$500 - Skateistan - A wonderful program dedicated to empowering young women. Here's a video
$500 - The Malala Fund - A 16y/o girl with the strength of conviction to stand up to the Taliban. Here's a video

I have $500 left to give. Please post a link to one of your favorite charities and I will donate a portion of the remaining funds to your charity. Must be a non-profit. Thank you!!

  6. St. Jude's Children's Cancer Hospital in Memphis, TN and the Shriner's Burn Hospital in Kentucky are two charities that I always contribute to. Neither of these hospitals charge the patients or parents for services, and both do such amazing work for children. Thank you, C.J. This is just one more of the many reasons you are loved.

  9. Merry Christmas CJ! Bless your kind heart for these generous donations ♥ My choice of cause is Hope For Paws (http://www.hopeforpaws.org/) Their rescue works are commendable and it breaks my heart to see these poor dogs suffering.

  14. Wow this is an amazing giveaway and what your doing for your community and the other donations is truly a generous thing!! Being a mother I understand what it means when someone gives back to the schools. I live in Idaho and my Children's Music program was cut due budget costs. Autsim/Asbergers is an important charity My sister has a 16 year old son that was diagnosed with Asbergers and he is bipolar so living on his own will never happen!! Thank you for being truly generous!!
